Paccar Scout Camp - Chalfont Heights is blessed with extensive woodlands and we are always looking at ways of encouraging young people to understand and appreciate this important legacy.
We now have a 25 year plan for our woodlands which includes removal of our pine plantation and new planting of more traditional broad leaf trees.
This work will be carried out by our voluntary forestry crew, who meet on site the 2nd Saturday of each month. This group of volunteers are always looking for aditional help, should you be interested we would be pleased to take your call on 01753-882640 or email forestry@chalfont.org when we can give you more details.
We plan to carry out more planting and seeding this autumn, also to start laying hedges, which will encourage more wildlife back into our woodlands.
