Paccar Scout Camp is 60 acres set in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, close to historic Chalfont St. Peter, yet only 30 minutes from London. Extensive woodlands sites and two large fields for camping, indoor accommodation, a wide range of activities and more make it a great place to camp and use as a base to visit local attractions. Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland are close and a short journey to central London takes you to the London Eye, Madame Tussauds and all the famous attractions in one of the world's great cities.

Paccar Scout Camp is situated on the ridge between Chalfont St. Peter and the River Colne in Buckinghamshire. The site was purchased by The Scout Association from money given by an anonymous donor. It was opened as a camp site in 1938 and operated by Scout Headquarters. In 1970 Greater London Middlesex West took over the site as its County campsite and Training Centre. In 2008 following a donation of £500,000 from the PACCAR Foundation the site name was changed to PACCAR Scout Camp. The site covers 60 acres (44 acres of woodland plus two fields, one of 6 acres and one of 10 acres). There is a resident Site Manager (Steve Allard) and Senior Activity Instructor (Jamie Brunt) assisted by a large number of volunteers. |
